I am the vine, you are the branches: He that stays in me, and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.
- John 15:5
Thoughts on Today’s Verse…
This verse cannot be ignored by Christians. Our relationship with God is like the vine and branches. Only a normal relationship with God can help us gain the provision of life, or else we will wither away and have no more life. Some brothers and sisters said, “Without the existence of God, we cannot fellowship about new knowledge of the Bible when we’re gathering. We’re not moved when praying, and get less and less enjoyment when listening to sermons. What’s more, we feel dark and dry in our spirits so that we cannot see anything clearly, just like getting lost in the wilderness. Without faith and motivation, we often fall into pain and worry. From the experience of brothers and sisters, we get to know that it’s very important to establish a proper relationship with God. Without God, we will lose our life and fall into darkness, being painful and desperate. The next verse John 15:6 said, “If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.”
Now some brothers and sisters have regained the joy of God’s presence and felt the enjoyment that they have never had before. If you lose God’s presence, why not take a look at their experience to find the way to regain the work of the Holy Spirit. Share with you: How to Seek the Work of the Holy Spirit?
